Job Description Quantity SurveyorAberdeenshireSalary: 50,000 per annum DOEWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PMDue to new contract awards, we are looking for an experiencedQuantity Surveyorto strengthen the team. This is a full-time role primarily based at the office in Blackburn, Aberdeenshire, with occasional travel to sites within Aberdeen and the surrounding areas.As the sole Quantity Surveyor in the business, you will play a key role in managing the commercial and financial aspects of projects, from cost estimation through to reporting and final account preparation. You will work closely with the wider project team to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the wider teamPrepare and submit Applications for Payment in line with contractual deadlinesManage the commercial aspects of subcontractors, including assessment and certification of payment applications, management of variations, and agreement of final accountsIdentify contractual risks and opportunities, ensuring the wider team is informed and alignedSkills & Experience RequiredDegree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying preferred but not essentialProven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for either a main contractor or subcontractorPrevious experience within electrical or M&E contracting is beneficial but not essentialProficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)Experience managing subcontractors, including commercial performance and contract complianceStrong communication and negotiation skillsSelf-motivated, organised, and capable of working independentlyFull UK driving licenceLegal right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)What We OfferCompetitive salaryCompany pensionSupportive and friendly working environmentOngoing training and development opportunitiesOpportunity to make a difference and influence the future direction of the businessLong-term progression opportunitiesThis is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and reliable individual to take ownership of the Quantity Surveying function and make a real impact.JBRP1_UKTJ
