Our machinery combines diesel engines, electric motors, highpressure hydraulic systems, and advanced electronic control systems.Due to continued growth, we are recruiting an experienced Mobile Plant Electrician to join our UK field service operation. This Mobile Plant Electrician role is ideal for someone comfortable with regular travel, staying away from home, outdoor working, and the physical demands of heavy plant environments.The Role Mobile Plant ElectricianAs a Mobile Plant Electrician, you will carry out electrical faultfinding, repair, installation, and maintenance on complex mobile and static plant equipment at customer sites across the UK.The Mobile Plant Electrician position involves regular overnight stays, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and operating in industrial and recycling environments. The role is handson and will involve manual handling and some heavy lifting alongside technical electrical work.You will work across electrical and control systems ranging from 3phase AC power down to lowvoltage DC circuits and voltage control modules, supporting breakdowns, servicing, and upgrades.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical fault diagnosis, repair, and commissioning as a Mobile Plant ElectricianWorking on 3phase AC systems, DC voltages, and voltage control modulesFaultfinding on electrical control panels, wiring looms, sensors, and actuatorsSupporting equipment powered by diesel engines and electric motorsAssisting with electrohydraulic fault diagnosis on heavy plant machineryPerforming repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance to OEM standardsDismantling, repairing, and refitting heavy components using specialist toolsWorking safely on customer sites, often outdoors and in demanding environmentsCompleting service reports and maintaining professional customer communicationSkills & Experience RequiredProven experience as a Mobile Plant Electrician, Plant Electrician, or Field Service EngineerStrong handson knowledge of:3phase electrical systemsDC electrical systems and control modulesElectrical schematic interpretation and diagnosticsExperience working on mobile plant, heavy machinery, or industrial equipmentComfortable with regular staying away from home, outdoor work, and physical tasks including heavy liftingKnowledge of electrical control systems (PLC or CANBus experience advantageous)Ability to work independently in a mobile, fieldbased roleFull UK driving licenceElectrical or engineering qualification, or timeserved / QBE backgroundWhats on Offer50,000 60,000 basic salary, based on experience40hour week paid doortodoorOvertime paid in addition to basic salaryCompany van, tools, and specialist equipment provided9% employer pension contribution25 days paid holiday plus bank holidaysPrivate healthcareDeath in service insuranceOngoing training and longterm career progressionINDKAJBRP1_UKTJ
