Job Description Mechanical Engineer - Building ServicesMechanical Engineer is required. A background in mechanical design from a Mechanical Contractor or Building Services Consultancy or process industry background is required.Contract role43.75ph - 46.87ph(350-375 per day)We require someone to hit the ground running, so only able to accept applications from local individuals with 10 years of experience in mechanical building services, commercial HVAC design engineering, or process industry, such as Oil & Gas, involving pipework, valves, pumps, and structural engineering.The RoleAs a mid-level individual, you will ensure the governance of designs, accuracy, feasibility, and structural integrityEquipment selectionCheck and submit client submittals and manufacturing drawings, ensuring BOM accuracyPrepare accurate specifications and reportsDesigning solutions for mission-critical infrastructure data centre applicationsManage the change control process, ensuring accurate changes are implementedThis is a customer-facing role involving high-value, engineered-to-order solutionsHours: 38-40 hours, early finish on FridaysYouAn experienced Mechanical Engineer or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with around 10+ years of experienceCustomer-facing experience from a design perspective at a senior levelLikely to have worked in an M&E D&B Contractor or Building Services Consultancy, process industry, Oil & Gas background involving pipework, pressure vessels, pumpsKnowledge of mechanical commercial building services and HVAC a distinct advantageIdeally able to use Solidworks, AutoCAD MEPThis is a contract role.
