Job Description Mechanical Fitter Supervisor | Conveyor Systems | Engineering & ManufacturingLocation: Bulwell / Long Eaton areaJob Type: Full-time, PermanentThe RoleWe are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter Supervisor to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business specialising in conveyor systems and material handling equipment.Reporting to the Production Manager, the Mechanical Fitter Supervisor will lead a team of fitters while remaining hands-on with the mechanical assembly of conveyors, automation systems, and special purpose machinery. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served Mechanical Fitter with proven supervisory experience.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead a team of Mechanical Fitters / Assembly TechniciansAllocate workloads and oversee daily production within a manufacturing environmentMechanical assembly of conveyor systems, material handling systems, chutes, motors, gearboxes, bearings, couplings, and rollersRead and interpret engineering drawings and technical schematicsAssembly of sub-assemblies using hand tools, pillar drills, saws, punches, and workshop machineryEnsure compliance with health 'safety, quality, and production standardsSupport training, mentoring, and development of engineering staffAct as a key link between the shop floor and Production ManagerEssential Skills & ExperienceMechanical Fitter Supervisor / Mechanical Team Leader experience (minimum 2 years)Time-served Mechanical Fitter / Assembly Technician / Mechanical Engineer backgroundPrevious experience within engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environmentsForklift licence (trained within the last 3 years)Experience with some or all of the following:Conveyor systemsAutomation and roboticsSpecial purpose machineryPlatforms, walkways, and guarding systemsBasic electrical knowledgeDesirable (not essential):Welding experience (MIG / TIG / fabrication)Working HoursMonday to Thursday: 7:00am 4:00pmFriday: 7:00am 12:00pmBenefitsFull-time, permanent roleOvertime paid at time and a halfWorkwear providedEligibility for the company EV schemeFree on-site parkingJBRP1_UKTJ
