Working closely with an experienced Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving excellence, safeguarding young people, and ensuring the home operates to the highest standards.The Role Registered ManagerAs the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Ofsted-regulated service and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. In keeping with the company ethos, you will focus on quality, excellent service delivery, business development and commercial success. You will be accountable to the Operations Director and play a key role in shaping the future of the home.SafeguardingComply with Safeguarding Childrens procedures at all timesPromote an honest and open cultureEnsure all safeguarding risks are acted upon immediately with appropriate action takenHealth & SafetyComply with Health & Safety policies and proceduresEnsure the service meets all mandated training and compliance targetsGeneral ResponsibilitiesManage a fully compliant service in line with all legislation and regulationEnsure financial viability in accordance with Ofsted requirementsAdhere to organisational policies and proceduresPromote and protect the reputation of the organisationMaintain professionalism, integrity, respect and confidentialityParticipate in the managers out-of-hours on-call rotaDuties & ResponsibilitiesCustomer Care & QualityDemonstrate passion and commitment to excellent support and qualityEnsure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, company policies and standardsAchieve and maintain at least a Good Ofsted rating, with Outstanding as the goalDeliver the highest standards of person-centred childcare focused on best outcomesProvide evidence of quality assurance and best practiceLeadership & ManagementProvide leadership and coaching in childcare practiceDemonstrate strong and effective leadership at all timesInspire, motivate and build a highly skilled and engaged workforceEnsure effective deployment of staff and resourcesProvide feedback to the Operations Director on service performance, incidents and improvementsCommunicate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersBusiness & Commercial PerformanceManage financial viability and meet (or exceed) agreed targetsPositively promote and market the serviceBuild excellent working relationships with stakeholdersLead on enquiries, referrals and new business opportunitiesContribute to the overall success of the organisationContinuous Improvement & InnovationLead a culture of continuous improvement and best practicePromote a learning culture and support staff developmentSeek opportunities for innovation to maintain a resilient and sustainable serviceCelebrate and share success across the organisationRequirementsThe successful candidate must be approved by the appropriate statutory body and meet Ofsted registration requirements.Qualifications, Knowledge & ExperienceIn line with Regulation 28 Fitness of Manager, you must:Be of integrity and good characterHave the appropriate experience, qualifications and skills to manage the home effectivelyBe physically and mentally fit to manage the homeHave at least 2 years experience (within the last 5 years) in residential childcareHave at least 1 years experience supervising or managing staffHold (or be working toward) the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)Skills & CompetenciesLeadership and management excellenceStrong problem-solving and decision-makingFinancial acumen and commercial awarenessExcellent verbal and written communicationAbility to plan, prioritise and manage workloadConfident use of ICTAttributesEmpowering, approachable and resilient leaderPassionate about excellence and best outcomesChampion of independence and person-centred practiceConfident, influential and inspiringProfessional and committedApply TodayIf you are a committed, child-centred Registered Manager ready to lead a high-quality Ofsted-regulated service, we would love to hear from you.
