This role focuses on providing expert legal advice and representation in Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) matters, with a particular emphasis on Tribunal proceedings and Judicial Reviews.You will act as a senior lead within the team, handling complex cases while supporting and guiding junior colleagues.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise on and conduct SEND Tribunal proceedingsProvide legal advice on law, policy, strategy, and procedureAdvise on and manage Judicial Review mattersAct as a lead lawyer, offering guidance and supervision to team membersRepresent the organisation at court hearings when requiredEnsure high-quality, timely legal outcomes aligned with statutory requirementsEssential RequirementsQualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive in the UKSignificant experience in SEN / SEND lawProven experience handling SEND TribunalsStrong knowledge of public law and Judicial ReviewsAbility to work autonomously in a remote settingExperience mentoring or supervising legal colleaguesDesirableLocal authority experienceStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to manage a high caseload under pressureJBRP1_UKTJ
