Job Description We're recruiting for a technically skilled Technical Support Engineer to join a growing aftersales and service support function based in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an electro-mechanical background and experience supporting heat pumps systems who enjoys fault finding, technical problem solving and supporting engineers, installers, and customers. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical support, ensuring equipment performance, supporting commissioning activities and contributing to ongoing product and service improvements.As Technical Support Engineer, you'll provide remote technical assistance to customers and field service engineers, supporting installation, commissioning, servicing, and fault resolution across a range of heat pumps as well as heating, cooling and air handling equipment. You will also support warranty investigations, product testing, and technical training delivery.Main DutiesProvide telephone and email technical support to customers and service engineersDiagnose faults and support troubleshooting of heating, cooling, and air handling systemsTest and fault-find returned warranty itemsConfigure and set parameters on spare parts prior to dispatchSupport commissioning activities and communicate technical requirements to engineersProduce technical documentation and training materialsDeliver product and aftersales training to customers and partnersAssist with quality and compliance activities (ISO 9001:2015)Attend site visits when required to support technical investigationsSkills & KnowledgeElectro-mechanical technical background (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred)Experience supporting heat pumps, HVAC, or air handling systemsStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsAbility to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manualsCompetent testing electrical components and equipmentConfident communicator phone, email, and technical reportingSelf-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and product knowledgeFull UK driving licenceSalary & Benefits45-50K salary depending on experienceCompany pension25 days holiday + bank holidaysTraining and development supportStable, supportive engineering environmentOpportunity to work with advanced heating and cooling technologiesJBRP1_UKTJ
