Job Description Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician needed for our Stoke on Trent based client.You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of both mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing and production environment.Required skills & Qualifications:Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:Identify root causes of failures across a range of mechanical machinery (gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics) and electrical (3-phase power, PLCs, sensors) systems.Technical Skills:Proficiency in using hand and power tools (Lathes, grinders, welding equipment)Digital Literacy:Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) software and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Installation & Commissioning:Assist in the setup and testing of new industrial systems, machinery and production lines.Technical Proficiency:Good knowledge of mechanical drive systems, pneumatic, and electrical circuits (e.g, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations)Automation Skills: Experience with programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and variable frequency drives (VFDs)Education:Level3 NVQ or equivalent apprenticeship in Electrical/ Electro-mechanical/mechanical maintenance.Soft Skills:Advanced problem solving, time management, and the ability to work under high-pressure downtime situations with process improvement experience.Core Responsibilities:Maintenance & Repair:Implement & perform routine preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure equipment operates efficiently and minimize downtime.Fault Diagnosis:Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions using diagnostic tools, sensors, and observations.Assembly & Installation:Assemble complex mechanical parts according to CAD designs and technical manuals.Testing:Performance and safety tests on new or repaired systems to verify they meet specifications.Documentation:Maintain detailed service records, maintenance logs, and reports of technical findings.Safety Compliance:Health and safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.JBRP1_UKTJ
