Are you passionate about good food and yummy baking? If so this role in our newly refreshed caf could be for you! You will be part of a busy and friendly team at Caf on the Park based on Dunsfold Business Park. The Caf is a social enterprise providing catering services to the visitors and tenants of the Park as well as volunteering and work place opportunities to young people and adults with autism. You will contribute to the enterprise by supporting its day-to-day operation, working both front of house serving customers, and in the kitchen assisting the Caf Cook and other team members. The opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of autistic children and adults Free onsite parking Employee Assistance Programme Mental Health and Wellbeing Facilities and Support Access to over 900 retailer discounts via our exclusive reward platform Staff recognition days Responsibilities of the role Welcoming and interacting with customers to provide a friendly and efficient service Taking customer orders and up selling specials and new menu items Prepare hot beverages on our barista coffee machine Assisting the Caf Cook in the preparation of fresh and high-quality food options Maintaining a well-stocked, clean and tidy environment in both the kitchen and cafe Contributing to work experience opportunities and enjoyment for Jigsaws autistic adult learners and pupils Take on board all customer feedback to ensure great customer experience To be successful in this role you will need: Proven experience of working in a cafe/restaurant/ front of house/customer facing role Proven experience of preparing food in a commercial kitchen Ability to work under pressure - independently and as part of a team A friendly, cheerful disposition with a positive, can-do attitude and excellent customer service skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A good standard of personal presentation and a solid understanding of health and hygiene requirements A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential Driving Licence or access to a lift (Due to our remote location) Salary : 9984 PA (12.80 per hour) FTE 24960 (Some flexibility around start and end times can be considered) Contract terms : 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 12.30pm We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk.
