Job Description Morson Edge are thrilled to be supporting our aerospace client in Gloucester who are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to work at their Gloucester site on a part time basis.PurposeTo support Program Quality Managers (PQMs) in all aspects of Program Quality, ensuring effective quality management for assigned programs with a primary focus on Military Programs. The role will ensure products, processes, and services continually meet Safran's quality standards and customer requirements.ScopeThe scope of this role is to provide support to the PQM's to help with the current workload across all programs however, primarily to support the Military PQM.Key Responsibilities- Quality Planning:Develop and maintain various Program Quality Plan's. Review and implement program-specific quality clauses into the Quality plans.- Process Control:Develop and maintain internal procedures in line with internal and external standards (EN9100, customer-specific requirements, etc.).- Supplier Quality:Collaborate with supplier quality teams to monitor customer escapes and investigations. This includes collaborating to ensure that all traceability and relevant information has been provided to PQM's.- Non-Conformity Management:Support PQM's with internal and Work Share non-conformity management, aiding with the resolution of product and process non-conformities using industry standard Quality tools i.e. Ishikawa, 5 Why etc.- Customer Interface:Provide information to aid the PQM's with customer interactions, audits, investigations, support Source inspections and feedback.- Quality Reporting:Prepare and present quality reports, metrics, and performance analysis to PQM's.Requirements- Standards Compliance:Knowledge of external standards EN9100 very advantageous. Part 21 Sub Part G desirable.- Documentation:Maintain and update quality plans, customer related documentation i.e. delivery transportation plan, and corrective actions.Deliverables- Program Quality Plan- Quality Review Meeting Notes- Non-Conformance Reports and Corrective Actions when required- Supplier Quality engagement on traceability activities- Customer Audit Readiness Documentation- Quality Escape Management and reportingSkills & Qualifications- Experience in quality management in aerospace/industrial sector preferred- Familiarity with quality standards (EN9100, ISO 9001, etc.)- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Effective communication and teamwork abilities- Working knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint), exposure to Quality Management Systems- Good attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work cross-functionally 16 hours per weekDuration Initially until August 2026 likely extensionRates 28.50 ph PAYE plus Holiday pay at 4.14 phUmbrella 37.88 phJBRP1_UKTJ
