Job Description We are looking for a skilled and customer-focusedJoinerto join HMS, part of Torus Group. Youll play a key role in delivering a high-quality, efficient and responsive service to our customers, working across occupied and void properties. Youll carry out a wide range of joinery works and associated multi-skilled tasks, contributing to our one job, one visit approach while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, safety and customer care.What You Will Be Doing:Carry out all aspects of internal and external joinery, including plastic and composite products, maintenance and remedial worksUndertake associated trade tasks (e.g. basic plastering, tiling and plumbing) to support efficient service deliveryPlan and organise work effectively to meet priority response times and performance targetsWork within scheduled appointment systems, liaising directly with customers and colleaguesDiagnose faults, carry out pre-measuring and determine repair requirements in line with contractual guidelinesSupervise and support apprentices or trainees when requiredUse IT and mobile devices to receive instructions, complete work orders and order materialsEnsure accurate completion of all documentation and system updatesDrive and maintain a company vehicle, stock and equipment responsiblyManage materials efficiently, minimising waste and delaysComply fully with Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of workParticipate in training, development and competency programmesWork collaboratively with schedulers, planners, customer liaison officers and contractorsTake part in an out-of-hours rota when required (additional payment applies)What Were Looking For:NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Joinery or relevant craft disciplineCSCS card at the appropriate levelExperience in multi-skilled trade activitiesFull UK or EU driving licenceCompleted apprenticeship (time served)Proven experience in joinery, building maintenance and constructionStrong customer service skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionGood communication skills and a customer-focused approachExperience supervising or supporting apprenticesInterview Process:Candidates will be invited to in-person interviews at our Stonebridge office, which will include a competency-based interview.Additional Information:Each successful applicant will be required to complete the following pre-employment checks prior to a start date being agreed:Right to work verificationQualification certificate check2x Completed referencesOH Health Questionnaire Fit For WorkDBS check (if required for role)Completion of all new starter documentation including signed T&CsPlease note, we reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applications.REF-226 616JBRP1_UKTJ
