Chatterwood Nursing Home has 35 beds and offers the highest standards of residential care for the elderly in Liss, Hampshire, on the grounds of our sister home Milkwood House. Key Responsibilities: Cleaning - Performing daily and weekly cleaning routines in all areas of the care home, including bedrooms, communal areas (lounges, dining rooms), bathrooms, and hallways. Hygiene - Maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control, following established guidelines. Laundry - Washing, drying, and folding residents' laundry and linens. Stock Management - Ensuring adequate supplies of cleaning materials and toiletries are available and reporting shortages. Safety - Being aware of safety procedures, including fire exits and extinguisher locations, and reporting any hazards. Reporting - Reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate person. Resident Support -In some cases, assisting residents with tasks like bed making, tidying rooms, and ensuring their personal spaces are clean and comfortable. Essential Skills and Qualities: Attention to Detail - A keen eye for detail to ensure thorough cleaning and hygiene. Physical Stamina - The ability to perform cleaning tasks that may involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Reliability - Being punctual and dependable for scheduled shifts. Communication Skills - Ability to communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and supervisors. Teamwork - Working cooperatively with other staff members to maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Respect for Residents - Maintaining residents' privacy and dignity while performing cleaning duties.
