Coatings Applicator Locations: Norwich & Surrounding Areas (Nationwide travel required) We are seeking a Coatings Applicator to join our Client. A prestigious company based in Norwich. If you're reliable, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and have a strong eye for detail, we'd love to hear from you. This role requires flexibility to travel and work outside normal hours, including weekends. Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include carrying out thorough surface preparation and applying coatings with precision to ensure durability and a high-quality finish. You will follow all safety rules, maintain excellent compliance standards, and contribute to a safe working environment. The role requires effective time management and coordination with the team to ensure all projects are completed on schedule. You will also be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring they remain reliable and in good working order. Additionally, you will communicate clearly with colleagues and clients, providing regular updates, clarifying requirements, and supporting smooth project delivery. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities You will already have, or be ready to develop, competence in surface preparation techniques such as blasting, power tooling, and solvent cleaning. You should have an understanding of different coating types, application methods, and required film thicknesses. The role also requires the ability to operate and maintain a range of industry-specific tools and machinery. A strong commitment to health and safety practices, along with a clear understanding of legal responsibilities, is essential. You will be experienced in inspecting coatings for thickness, adhesion, uniformity, and overall appearance. Strong communication skills are also important, as you must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues and clients.
