The role includes pain management, critical care, and emergency resuscitation, ensuring patient safety before, during, and after procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesPre-operative CareAssess patients prior to surgery, including medical history, physical examination, and risk evaluationDevelop and explain anaesthetic plans to patients and obtain informed consentOrder and interpret relevant investigations (e.g. blood tests, ECGs, imaging)Intra-operative CareAdminister general, regional, or local anaesthesia safelyMonitor vital signs and patient condition throughout proceduresManage airway, ventilation, and haemodynamic stabilityRespond rapidly to complications or emergenciesPost-operative CareOversee patient recovery from anaesthesia in recovery units or ICUManage post-operative pain, nausea, and complicationsCommunicate with surgical teams regarding patient progressAdditional DutiesProvide pain management services, including acute and chronic pain clinicsParticipate in critical care and emergency response teamsSupervise and train junior doctors, nurses, and anaesthetic assistantsMaintain accurate clinical documentationComply with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirementsParticipate in audits, research, and continuing professional development (CPD)Qualifications & RequirementsMedical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent)Completion of specialist training in AnaesthesiologyFull medical registration and specialist certification (as required by country)Valid license to practice medicineAdvanced Life Support (ALS/ACLS) certificationDon't delay, apply today
