Job Description Technical Sales Executive Marine AccessoriesLocation: Newton Abbot / South Devon (office-based must be within commuting distance)Salary: circa 35,000 (flexible for the right person) benefitsThe OpportunityWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering manufacturer within the marine sector. This is a newly created role focused on building and expanding a marine accessories product category that has historically been sold reactively, despite strong demand.The business already supplies a range of off-the-shelf accessories that customers purchase regularly, and a new product launch is planned with significant potential (including strong interest in the US market). The right person will help take this category to the next level by making it more visible, more commercially structured, and more proactively sold.This is primarily a sales role, with responsibility for ensuring the product range is properly supported with stock availability and the right materials to drive growth.Key ResponsibilitiesProactively grow revenue from a defined range of marine accessories (existing customers new opportunities)Drive outbound activity to increase awareness of the range and generate additional salesSupport product launches: ensure pricing, documentation, and sales/marketing materials are in placeWork with internal stakeholders to create/maintain technical documentation and product informationConduct market and competitor research to support commercial decisionsManage/coordinate procurement for outsourced parts/products and supplier communicationMonitor stock levels and ensure inventory is maintained to meet demand (availability is critical)Support promotions, exhibitions and occasional customer/supplier visits as the role evolvesMaintain accurate records and follow internal processes with strong attention to detailWhat Were Looking ForProven experience in B2B sales (internal sales, technical sales, sales support with a strong commercial edge)Comfortable working with technical products and engineering speak (mechanical mindset is important)Strong administration and organisational discipline (this is essential)Confident communicator with a proactive, hands-on attitudeAble to work office-based; some travel may be required over time (exhibitions/suppliers)Marine industry experience is helpful but not essentialWhats On OfferA visible role where you can genuinely build something and see the impact of your workA stable engineering business with strong ambition and growth potentialVaried responsibilities across sales, product support and operational coordinationCompetitive salary and benefits, plus long-term development opportunitiesJBRP1_UKTJ
