Job DescriptionQualifications, skills, and all relevant experience needed for this role can be found in the full description below.The Responsible Individual is the professional face of the organisation to both Ofsted and external stakeholders and provides senior leadership, regulatory oversight, driving the quality of care in line with the Childrens Home Quality Standards and support to our managers and their homes.The RI is to ensure that all of our homes are well led, compliant, effective and provide a nurturing and safe environment for our young people to achieve positive outcomes. Our company operates with currently two Outstanding and Good homes which should be maintained and built on whilst helping to develop and grow the company and open additional homes.The RI is instrumental in developing a culture of excellence, promoting diversity and equality and demonstrating a strong ethical vision in line with the company ethos and strategic direction. They must demonstrate ethical leadership, transparency and professionalism at all times.Responsibilities and Role:Strategic Leadership & OversightProvide leadership for our registered childrens homesSupport our managers with regular supervision and professional developmentChallenge and guide managers constructively to ensure compliance, safe practice and strong leadershipAddress promptly any concerns around compliance, performance and safeguarding promptly and effectivelyPromote a culture of high expectations and accountabilityComplianceEnsure all homes comply with the Childrens Homes RegulationsEnsure that all homes are working to Ofsted requirements and that notifications are accurate and within given timescalesReview and oversee Regulation 44 independent visit reportsConduct internal audits and ensure action plans are implemented, developed and monitoredOversee the development and implementation of company policies and proceduresSafeguardingOversight of safeguarding across all homesEnsure safeguarding concerns, allegations, complaints and incidents are managed appropriately and consistentlyOversee the use of physical intervention within the homes ensuring they are lawful, proportionate and reviewedSupport managers to create a nurturing and safe environment to allow our young people to thriveExternal StakeholdersProvide a professional representation of the company to all external stakeholders and act as a senior point of contactSupport homes during inspections with Ofsted and other external organisations and ensure that outcomes are reviewed and appropriate development is in place and monitored following inspections and monitoring visitsRepresent the company at external meetings in a professional manner at all timesEffectively liaise with local authorities for new admissions and ongoing placement communicationOversee and support managers with admissions, transitions and dischargesWorkforce DevelopmentEnsure recruitment, inductions, training and supervisions are effective, compliant and consistent xjdpvnf Promote a culture of inclusiveness and positivityEnsure staff wellbeing and retention are prioritisedSupport managers to implement fair and robust management processesSupport the company with future growth and new provisionsIdeal Candidate:Experience as a previous Responsible IndividualExperience as a previous Ofsted Registered ManagerLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)Excellent understanding of the Childrens Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted Inspection FrameworkMotivated and able to inspire and lead othersStrong sense of safeguarding and commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young peopleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Casual dressCompany eventsCompany pensionEmployee discountFlexitimeOn-site parkingWork from home
