Location: Burton on Trent Contract: Temporary, short term contract. Start Date: ASAP. Immediate start. Salary/Rate: 170 - 200 a day (inside IR35) My client is seeking a Temporary Financial Accountant to cover sickness during a busy period. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can quickly adapt and add value from day one. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly financial and management accounts and financial reports Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Support month-end and year-end close processes Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies Liaise with auditors and internal stakeholders as required Requirements: Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Proven experience in a financial accounting role Strong Excel and financial reporting skills Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines Excellent attention to detail and communication skills This is a great opportunity to work within a supportive and professional team.
