If you have a genuine commitment to transforming lives through specialised support, this is your opportunity to make a profound impact in a collaborative, values-driven setting.Supported by our experienced leadership team and a committed Responsible Individual, you'll have the resources and guidance to implement best-in-class EBD strategies, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding, child-centered outcomes.Key Responsibilities:* Oversee daily operations of the home, ensuring strict compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Ofsted standards, and enhanced safeguarding protocols specific to children with emotional and behavioural challenges.* Lead and develop a skilled care team through recruitment, ongoing supervision, appraisals, and cultivating a positive, trauma-informed culture that promotes de-escalation and therapeutic engagement.* Design and champion individualised care plans addressing the complex emotional, behavioural, physical, and developmental needs of EBD residents, measuring progress through evidence-based interventions and achieving meaningful, sustainable improvements.* Manage budgets, resources, and records efficiently, while leading regular audits, risk assessments, and quality reviews to elevate service delivery and prepare for rigorous inspections.* Build collaborative networks with external stakeholders, including local authorities, mental health professionals, educators, and families, to provide integrated, holistic support for children.* Respond effectively to incidents, crises, and notifications, implementing robust behaviour management and child protection measures to maintain a safe, nurturing space that encourages emotional regulation and independence.*Essential Requirements:** Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or commitment to obtain it.* At least 2 years' supervisory experience in EBD or similar children's residential settings, with direct hands-on support for young people facing emotional and behavioural difficulties.* Proven success as a Registered Manager or Deputy in EBD environments, including /"Good/" or better Ofsted ratings and demonstrated expertise in managing complex behaviours.* Thorough knowledge of legislation, safeguarding, child protection, and therapeutic models like trauma-informed care or positive behaviour support.* Strong leadership to inspire teams, handle high-pressure situations with empathy, and uphold excellence in care.* Deep passion, excellent communication, organisational, and crisis-resolution skills.* Full UK driving license; on-call flexibility; physical/mental fitness for the role; enhanced DBS required.*Desirable:** Proven experience in opening or managing new EBD residential services, ideally with a track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings.* Additional qualifications such as a degree in psychology, social work, criminology, or related fields.* Expertise in advanced therapeutic approaches, including de-escalation techniques, attachment theory, trauma-informed practices, or support for neurodiversity.*What We Offer:** Competitive salary up to £65k based on experience, plus bonuses for KPIs.* Comprehensive support from seasoned leaders and a high-caliber RI to innovate in EBD care.* Professional growth opportunities and career progression in a stable organisation.Ready to champion excellence?
