We are seeking a Police Station Accredited Criminal Solicitor to handle a caseload of criminal defence matters from police station through to court proceedings. You will represent clients during interviews under caution, prepare cases, and advocate in court when required. Key Responsibilities Attend police stations to represent clients during interviews under caution. Manage a varied criminal caseload from initial instruction through to conclusion. Prepare legal documents, witness statements, and trial bundles. Conduct advocacy in Magistrates Court and liaise with Counsel for Crown Court cases. Maintain compliance with LAA and SRA regulations. Provide exceptional client care and maintain professional relationships with police, CPS, and court staff. Essential Requirements Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) Police Station Accreditation (mandatory) Experience handling a range of criminal defence cases Ability to work independently under pressure and manage own caseload Strong written and verbal communication skills Commitment to client service and professional ethics Local area knowledge of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire criminal courts Desirable Requirements Duty Solicitor status. Experience with Legal Aid Agency (LAA) billing and compliance. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Qualifications Required Law degree (LLB) or equivalent. Legal Practice Course (LPC) or SQE qualification. Police Station Accreditation certification.
