Job Description About the Role:Vettio is hiring on behalf of a client in the fresh produce wholesale sector. The client is seeking a General Manager to lead and operate a wholesale depot in London. This is a senior, hands on role with full ownership of commercial performance, daily operations, and customer outcomes. You will be accountable for revenue, operations, and overall depot success within a fast paced wholesale environment.Key Responsibilities:Own full P&L responsibility for a wholesale depotManage end to end daily depot operations with a focus on speed, accuracy, and qualityDrive B2B sales generation within the fresh produce marketBuild and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and Horace customersAnalyze depot and SKU performance daily, including GMV, NMV, shrinkage, dump, retention, and order frequencyOversee sales administration and effective use of CRM systemsEnsure operational discipline and commercial excellence across all depot activitiesRequired Experience and Skills:Minimum five years of experience in fresh produce wholesale, retail, or food distributionStrong background in B2B sales and customer relationship managementProven experience managing depot operations or similar commercial unitsSolid understanding of market intelligence within the fresh produce industryExperience owning operational and commercial outcomes in wholesale environmentsLocation and Work Setup:On site role based in LondonPotential locations include Spitalfields Market or Western MarketCandidates must have the right to work in the UKSalary:30,000 gross annuallyAbout the Client:The client is a B2B fresh produce business operating at scale, serving wholesalers, retailers, and Horace customers.
