Job Description Job IntroductionWe are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our friendly team based in Alrewas, close to Burton on Trent in Staffordshire and is to work with the team as part of the Pavement solutions national business.Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and its important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate for the role of Logistics Coordinator will have a wide range of responsibilities including;Liaise with operations staff and plant operators to collate information with regards to contracting supply chain and plant supplyCoordinate, in conjunction with operations the efficient organisation and delivery of material / plant resources to meet the programme needsDaily ordering of materials, booking of deliveries and notify management of problems assist in problem solvingSupport the teams with administration duties where necessaryCollate and format monthly stats and reports for the Operations ManagerEssentially you will ensure the smooth and economical running of a number of projects, giving support to the Contracts Managers, Project Agent Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, Batching Plant Operators and liaising with administrators.The ideal candidate for the role of Logistics Coordinator will be able to demonstrate:Secondary school education, A Levels etc or equivalentrequirement for experience in successfully leading and developing teamsYou should have a good working knowledge of both Microsoft Office and SAP and be able to demonstrate knowledge of material types, types of plantExperience of working within a busy environment is advantageous as is the ability to work remotely with multiple colleagues and suppliersIn addition to this role we also offer an extensive range of career development opportunities and industry-leading rewards, incentives and benefits including:Bonus schemeEnhanced holiday entitlement Contributory pension schemeAccess to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers, holidays, etc.Access to our Employee Assistance helpline for free and confidential adviceAccess to join our Employee Communities (employee networks) we currently have nine communities inc.
