This role is based in Cardiff , with responsibility for a caseload across South Wales . Youll join a service committed to delivering high-quality support to children, young people and foster parents. Essential Requirements You must: Have a reflective and creative approach when working with foster carers and young people. Be able to manage a caseload of 1315 fostering families , offering guidance, supervision and development support. Be committed to providing wraparound support, including participation in the out-of-hours on-call service . Be passionate about contributing to the growth and development of the fostering service. Hold a professional Social Work qualification . Be registered with Social Care Wales or willing to register (registration fee covered by our client). Have experience in fostering or related childrens social care (e.g., looked-after childrens teams). Be able to evidence your ability to assess and identify young peoples needs. Have sound knowledge of fostering regulations , childcare law , and safeguarding practice . Be able to complete objective, professional assessments. Have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Desirable Ability to speak Welsh (not essential).
