Job Description Job DescriptionAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of project design and delivery, from tender development to project planning and coordination. You will assist in the creation of mechanical designs and specifications, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards. You will collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to review and approve project designs. Additionally, you will contribute to troubleshooting and ensure the proper implementation of project controls, documentation, and procedures. Regular site visits will be required to scope, verify, and resolve issues on both potential and active projects, helping ensure smooth execution and timely resolution of challengesIn joining the newly established Design Hub will give you the chance to contribute significantly to shaping a world-class design team, particularly in the water industry. If you're excited by the prospect of building something from the ground up and shaping the future of water design, this opportunity seems like a perfect fit!QualificationsBatchelors degree in engineering / related field or equivalent preferableIdeal would be a Chartered Engineer status and membership of professional institution such as IET, InstMC or CIWEMIdeal would-be significant experience in the technical delivery of process plant systems on complex water industry engineering projectsExcellent project management / organisational skills with ability to multitaskStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent degree of computer literacyCAD expertise and experience preferableField / practical experienceExcellent CDM and health and safety knowledge and applicationPositive can do attitude with flexible approach to workExcellent personal presentationDriving licence preferable (full, clean)CSCS card preferableAdditional InformationPlease note this role will require regular travel to our site in Portsmouth.
