Job Title:CNC Turning Programmer / Setter / Operator Location:Ferndown Hours:20:30 to 07:00 Monday to Thursday Salary:£21 - £22phA precision engineering manufacturer supplying the aerospace and defence sectors is looking for an experienced CNC Turning Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their team.Role SummaryYou will program, set, and operate Mazak CNC turning centres, managing the full process from program creation to final inspection.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Mazak machines using Mazatrol, SmoothX/SmoothG or ISO G-code.Develop machining strategies and interpret engineering drawings/GD&T.Set up Mazak lathes (Quick Turn, Nexus, Smooth, Integrex).Install and measure tools; set work and tool offsets; complete safe prove-outs.Run production, adjust offsets, change inserts/tools and ensure accuracy.Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring tools.Record quality data and resolve machining issues (chatter, taper, finish).Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain 5S standards.DesirableExperience with Integrex or live tooling.CAM knowledge (Mastercam).Lean/5S experience.Forklift or crane certification.Level 3/4 engineering qualification or apprenticeship.What Next?Apply now or call/message Rio at Holt Engineering on 07483025038 for more information on the CNC Turner Role.
