Monday-Thursday: 07:30-16:00 ( hour lunch + 15-minute paid break) Friday: 07:30-11:30Contract: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From 15 an hourBonus: Performance-related bonus We are currently seeking a Time-Served Manual / Semi-CNC Turner to join our client's engineering team in Cwmbran. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, excellent benefits, and the chance to work within an ISO9001-accredited environment.The Role The successful candidate will be involved in machining one-offs to small batches of components weighing up to 3 tonnes. Responsibilities include:Operating manual lathes and semi-CNC lathesUsing a manual centre lathe and tooling to machine components to drawing specificationsReading and interpreting engineering drawingsWorking to tight tolerances and high-quality standardsComplete tool setting, including understanding cutting speeds and feedsUsing measurement and inspection equipment (verniers, micrometres, bore gauges, etc.)Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment in line with ISO9001 standards Experience in milling or welding is highly desirable.About You We are looking for someone who:Is time served with proven experience on manual and/or semi-CNC lathesIdeally has milling and/or welding experienceHas strong attention to detail and can work to tight tolerancesIs competent in tool setting, with knowledge of cutting speeds and feedsCan confidently use measurement and inspection toolsHas around 3 years' engineering experience (preferred)Is highly motivated, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a teamBenefitsPermanent, full-time roleSalary 26,000 - 28,000 DOEPerformance-related bonusCompany pension (after 3 months)26 days annual leave + Bank HolidaysSick payOn-site parkingOvertime availableJDR Recruitment is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
