Through enabling innovation, making the right judgements of thebenefits and risks of medical products and forging the right partnerships in the UK andinternationally, it aims to deliver world class regulation and improved outcomes for UK patients.We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Craftsperson to join ourInfrastructure & Laboratories Services function in the Corporate group.Within a week of working here, your day could look like this: Carrying out day-to-day maintenance ofthe mechanical areas of the SMS to ensure that the Engineering systems are supporting the relevantDivisions in delivering the Agencys strategic objectives and work within the Health and Safetyrequirements and ISO 9001 Quality Management System. This work includes reactive and PlannedPreventative Maintenance. Co-ordinating and completing the planned preventative maintenance program for themechanical and engineering plant and equipment, ensuring contractors are appropriatelybriefed and supervised Investigate and respond to faults, breakdowns and unscheduled tasks as they occur, on apriority basis and propose solutions as to how the fault can be rectified so that the SMScontinues to function safely Support the team with out-of-hours cover, on a rota basis and under guidance be able tomake informed decisions and instigate and / or carry out the necessary actions to ensurethat the equipment, stored items and site remains safe.The successful candidate will have a recognised engineering qualification at NVQ Level 3 or BTEC (orequivalent) Significant experience in a Maintenance or Building Services environment within a qualitymanagement system and working with mechanical systems supporting planned preventativemaintenance schedule.
