Owen Mumford are looking to hire a Third Party Supply Controller! Could this be your next role? Scope: As the Third Party Supply Controller at Owen Mumford, you will be responsible for the planning, purchasing and fulfilment of finished product produced by Owen Mumfords third-party manufacturing partners and Affiliates as well as the creation and communication of production forecasts; ensuring orders are supplied on time in full, and inventory / customer service targets are achieved. Please be aware that this role will be based at our Chipping Norton site. This role is for maternity cover and is offered full time on a fixed term contract basis (15 Months). Key Responsibilities: Supply Management Effective execution of OMLs Third Party Finished Product sourcing strategy, ensuring an effective order management process is maintained and is aligned to the relevant sales / demand forecasts. Responsible for the periodic update and communication of supply forecasts, ensuring all third parties receive applicable demand forecasts in adherence to their supply agreement. Order Management Maintain the requisition, submission and communication of all Purchase Orders defined within the scope of the role; Third-Party Finished Product for OML. Ensuring orders are aligned to the Supply Chain Inventory Strategy. Provide clear, focused & targeted communication to senior members of the organisation to ensure high value (greater than the roles purchasing authority) purchase orders are approved without delay. Ensure all suppliers provide committed order ready / due dates, where required coordinate with the Transport Planning team to ensure all orders are collected / despatched without delay and in alignment to the UK Operations International Transport Strategy. Demand / Constraint Management Execution of the Demand Management strategy (regarding Third-Party Finished Product for OML), ensuring PESTLE trends are captured and analysed to identify potential risks, which are to be clearly communicated to all key stakeholders. Ensure a periodic (monthly) review of the supply chain inventory associated with Third Party Finished Products is completed, ensuring sufficient / agreed levels of inventory are in place. Relationship Management Collaborate with cross-functional teams both internal (i.e. Affiliates) and external to drive improvements in forecast accuracy, inventory alignment / consolidation, process improvements and the optimisation of costs. Build and maintain sustainable mutually beneficial relationship with all key stakeholders (internal and external). New Product Introductions Accountable for the effective execution of the Supply Chain strategy for each individual product launch associated to a Third Party Finished Product / Range. Ensuring a set number (more than two) S&OE meetings are conducted, that the first purchase orders are raised in agreement with the launch strategy (with inventory values analysed and communicated to key stakeholders), and subsequent purchase orders (until a Business as Usual is determined) are raised and managed as part of the S&OE meetings. Ensure key supply chain stakeholders are aware of the impending changes to the supply strategy, which includes supplier location, volumes, mode of transport, packing specifications and part numbers. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & Metrics Periodically update and publish KPIs & Metrics related to the supply of third-party finished products. Ensuring trend analysis is conducted on all published KPIs, identifying, communicating and driving opportunities for improvement. Accountable for escalating all underperforming metrics. To be successful in this role, you will need: A proven track record of delivering key benefits (financial & non-financial) with Third Party Suppliers through a sustainable relationship management approach. Experience of analysing data at both a macro and micro level to drive data driven decision making within an operational environment. Experience of working with global suppliers (specifically Asia, Europe, North America). Experience of working with MRP systems. Demonstratable knowledge of inventory control disciplines and best practice. Experience in a supply chain, operations, or manufacturing environmentideally within a global, fast-paced setting.
