Manufacturing Engineer Automation Whitstable, Kent | 40,00050,000 | Permanent | MonThu 08:0016:30, Fri 08:0013:30You will support the manufacturing team by taking responsibility for customer requirements, product/process development and production improvement.This role sits within a well-established engineering group known for providing high-technology interconnect, sensor and antenna solutions across various sectors. You will work across the engineering lifecycle with a growing focus on automation. Key Responsibilities:Participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects and engineering change activity, delivering stable process design and technical insightSupport the team in the completion of product and process risk analyses (e.g. DFMEA, PFMEA)Provide installation/commissioning support for automated equipment and assist in validation (test plans, acceptance criteria)Investigate and solve quality issues in guidance with standards like ISO 9001 and AS9100Support supplier, process, and customer quality improvement activities, including addressing non-conformances and providing help to resolve customer concernsRequirements:Minimum Level 6 /BEng level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a similar subject Currently Chartered/Incorporated or working towards chartership Extensive hands-on experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment involving tooling and fixture design / developmentAbility to use 3D CAD software (Creo preferred)Experience with MRP/ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Infor XA Experience using PDM/document control tools and facilitating engineering change processesFamiliarity with industrial control concepts (PLCs, HMIs, motors, sensors) and automation integration, fault finding and first-line maintenanceFamiliarity with key APQP tools such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), FMEAs, Control PlansUnderstanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO 9001 and AS9100) Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical colleaguesEligibility: Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship)Electus Recruitment Solutions provides specialist engineering and technical recruitment solutions to a number of high-technology industries.
