About the role The Materials Management Team arrange soil testing and classification of waste and source suppliers and negotiate rates for all types of land removal, from clean to contaminated soils and provide supplies of all types of materials, from aggregate and topsoil to ready mixed concrete and tarmac. Working alongside your colleagues you will take responsibility for the provision of services, building relationships with your suppliers, customers and colleagues to ensure products and services are procured accurately, at competitive market rates and client satisfaction is maximised Location: Doncaster Responsibilities: Procure waste management solutions and site services for our Materials Management Department, securing several quotes to ensure we buy competitively, and in line with client requirements. Liaising with waste management companies, disposal sites, and transport companies on a daily basis Ensure that all suppliers conform to industry standards and services are delivered within Service Level Agreements. Generate sales quotations, follow up with a call and negotiate rates where required to convert to order. Assist in tender compilation, working with the sales teams to provide suitable options which protect margin and provide client satisfaction. Establish effective working relationships with internal and external contacts. Record, update and maintain customer data and customer interaction. Working alongside the Soils Customer Service Team to ensure all bookings are completed, resolving any customer or supplier queries as needed. From time to time the role may require working in the Customer Service Team (holidays / absences) on an adhoc basis. Additional information: Working hours are 42.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm or 8:30am-5:30pm with half an hour for lunch & 2x 15 Minute breaks. You will work full-time in the Doncaster office, so will need to live within a reasonable distance to travel to DN9 3GA.
