HGV Class 1 Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Driver roles based in Birmingham, West Midlands . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay along with genuine prospects for growth and progression. Shifts Monday to Friday 08:00 starts Rates of Pay Basic: 17.00 per hour Saturday: 17.00 per hour for the first four hours, then 21.65 per hour Benefits Excellent hourly rates Paid breaks Minimum of nine hours' pay per shift Weekly pay Immediate start Training provided Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties Multidrop deliveries and collections around Birmingham and surrounding areas Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring timely, safe, and professional deliveries to customer sites Maintaining knowledge of driving and working hours Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs Keeping the truck and equipment clean and tidy Operating curtain side trailers Essential Skills Valid UK Category CE Licence Minimum of two years' experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points (minor infringements only) Valid UK CPC Card and Digi Card Good spoken and written English Excellent punctuality and timekeeping Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable Experience Previous commercial driving experience Previous multi-drop delivery experience Training Provided Ongoing CPC training with full support throughout your assignment Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information.
