AO.com is at the heart of our retail business, and were looking for a talented Consumer PR Executive to help us shout about it.Youll play a key role in activating and delivering our retail PR plans for AO.com. Reporting directly to Jess, our Consumer PR Manager, youll be responsible for securing strong, positive media coverage and collaborating closely with our social and ecommerce teams to drive cross-channel campaigns.Weve got some exciting projects on the horizon, so if youve got a nose for a great story and a passion for creating buzz, wed love to hear from you.Our people are our superpower, and were unstoppable when were together! If a 1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we were together!Here's What You Can Expect To Be DoingDriving the press office by managing daily proactive and reactive media relations with national and consumer press.Supporting the Consumer PR Manager in executing the communications strategy to secure coverage, build external links, and boost brand awareness.Collaborating with internal teams (SEO, Brand, Social, Content Marketing, Trading) to maximise impact across channels.Proactively pitching and selling-in stories to top-tier media outlets.Assisting with performance reporting and communicating results to stakeholders.Writing press releases, comments, and other PR materials.Monitoring media daily for newsjacking opportunities.Brainstorming creative PR ideas and reactive opportunities.Coordinating press photography, events, and visits.Working closely with AOs agency partners.Building a strong understanding of the retail media landscape.A Few Things About YouPR / marketing experience in a fast-paced environment (in-house or agency).Experience working on PR campaigns for national consumer brands, with a portfolio of national coverage.Youre a confident communicator with a flair for storytelling and a hunger for results. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and love working collaboratively to bring ideas to lifeStrong media relations skills and the ability to build lasting journalist relationships.Exceptional writing skills and a keen editorial eye.A Bit About UsWhen it comes to appliances and electricals, weve got the lot.
