Registered Veterinary Nurse (Supervisory Role) Small Animal Hospital, Wiltshire We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our well-equipped, successful small animal hospital in Wiltshire. You will be part of a dedicated team handling a large and varied caseload, offering an exciting environment to develop and utilise your nursing skills. Due to the supervisory nature of this position, a minimum of two years post-qualification experience is essential. This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week , worked across a mixture of 8am5pm and 10am7pm shifts. Weekend duties follow a 1-in-7 rotation , covering an 8-hour shift on both Saturday and Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday off in lieu . About the Supervisory Role In this position, you will supervise and support the nursing team in the absence of the Lead Nurses, ensuring the smooth running of the department and maintaining excellent standards of patient care. Strong communication skills, patience, and a supportive leadership style are essential.You will work closely with the Lead Nurse team, Senior Lead Nurses, and the Nursing Director, contributing to a collaborative, respectful, and well-structured management environment. Your clinical opinion will be welcomed throughout the patient journey.We actively support Schedule 3 procedures and provide extensive internal and external CPD , ensuring you feel confident and empowered as you develop your skillset.With a generous CPD budget, we promote career development and hold regular in-house training sessions to share knowledge across the team. Additional CPDsuch as Schedule 3 training or courses that directly benefit the practiceis fully funded.
