Job Description Senior Engineering Manager Hybrid (London/Bath/Edinburgh-monthly travel) Salary - up to 115,000I'm working with a fast-scaling tech client at the forefront of cloud-native investment infrastructure. They're on a mission to redefine how platforms are built and operated in regulated environments and we're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead their Cloud Resilience team.This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role where you'll shape the future of their core infrastructure. You'll guide a talented team of engineers, drive strategic delivery, and take ownership of a platform that supports millions of transactions and users across the UK.We're looking for someone who has been on the journey of scaling before, in SaaS, fintech, or other regulated industries like online gambling. You're hands-on, pragmatic, and passionate about building resilient systems that empower product teams.Essential skill set:Experience leading cloud-native teams in AWS and serverless LambdaStrong grasp of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), observability (Datadog), and serverless architectureBackground in software engineering (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred)Proven leadership in growing and developing engineering teamsProduct mindset with stakeholder engagement and roadmap ownershipFinTech or scale-up backgroundContainerisation lifecycle (not just in Kubernetes)Experience developing GitHub pipelinesNice-to-HavesExperience with MongoDB performance tuningFamiliarity with Node.js environmentsExposure to regulated sectors (CASS knowledge is a big plus)Comfortable with scripting, tooling, and platform metricsThis is a rare opportunity to lead a team that sits at the heart of a high-growth, mission-driven tech company.
