This is done in accordance with Group policy to achieve targets, develop the business, and deliver an excellent and comprehensive service.As a Master Technician, you will demonstrate your extensive experience and expertise to manage sophisticated technical tasks and projects within the insurance sector. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of insurance documents and support the development of standard processes within the organisation. Your role is crucial in providing technical support and mentorship to other technicians and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.What you'll be doingImplementing the operating plan for their areaManaging assigned projects and contributing to other projects as requiredProviding relevant management information to the management team as requiredSupervising output within their area of responsibility to ensure it meets agreed service and quality standardsAssisting in the creation of comprehensive broking, client, and other types of documentsStaying informed of all regulatory and legal changes impacting the roleEnsuring up-to-date records are maintained at all times on the company systemsDeveloping positive relationships with divisions and acting as a critical issue point within their areas of responsibilityActively undertaking personal development to ensure up-to-date knowledge and understanding of standard methodologiesRemaining aware of external, industry, legal, and regulatory developments to ensure practices and outputs are of a sufficiently high standardWho we're looking forExperience in a similar role is crucialGood understanding of the Lloyd's and London marketProficient IT skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to undertake and demonstrate competence in technical training as required by the industry regulatorStrong understanding of FCA regulations as they pertain to insurance intermediariesAttention to detail with the ability to produce accurate documentationAbility to work effectively within a team and answer queries from less experienced members of staffPrioritisation and organisational skillsSelf-motivatedAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external partnersQualifications:GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths crucialA-level Grade A-C (or equivalent)Progression towards gaining professional qualifications is desired but not essentialWhat do we offer in return?A career that you define.
