Job Description

Role: - Graduate Laboratory Technician (Molecular Biology, Biology, Biomedical) Salary: - 24,000 p/a plus overtime available Location: - Crawley (onsite) - must have driving licence and own vehicle Hours:- Mon-Fri (core hours 10am-6pm) Rotational shifts, including evenings and weekends, with on-call periods (schedule to be agreed in advance and subject to change) Type:- Full- time, permanent Russell Taylor Group are looking to recruit a graduate Laboratory Technician with a degree in Molecular Biology, Biology, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry or similar to join our client's processing laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world, cutting-edge laboratory environment, contributing to stem cell sample processing. You will gain hands-on experience in cleanroom techniques, aseptic processing, and regulatory-compliant laboratory practices while developing your career. Key Responsibilities Process and test biological samples following HTA license requirements and GLP/GMP standards. Work in class A/B cleanrooms using aseptic techniques to maintain sterility. Validate and assess sample processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Maintain laboratory records, SOPs, and databases. Monitor lab environment, stock levels, and cleanliness. Support team members by reviewing work and maintaining high standards. Liaise with couriers, healthcare professionals, and customers regarding sample handling. The Person Recent graduate in Molecular Biology, Biology, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry or similar. Strong academic knowledge with an interest in practical laboratory work. Good verbal and written communication skills, IT literate. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Awareness of laboratory standards, aseptic techniques, and cleanroom practices (training provided). Reliable, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks.
