Job Summary ( We do not provide Certificate of Sponsorship) We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and compassionate Field Care Supervisor to join our Supported Living services in Luton. The Field Care Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, safe, and person-centred care is consistently delivered across our supported living units. This role involves supervising care staff, carrying out spot checks, supporting new staff through shadowing and induction, and ensuring care plans and risk assessments remain up-to-date. You will act as a bridge between the management team, staff, service users, and families, supporting compliance with CQC standards and organisational policies. The Field Care Supervisor must also participate in the on-call rota and be flexible to cover calls in the event of staff absence to ensure continuity of care. Key Responsibilities Staff Supervision & Support Supervise, support, and mentor care staff across supported living units. Conduct regular spot checks, competency assessments, and staff supervisions. Support new staff during induction and shadowing, ensuring mandatory training is completed and applied in practice. Provide ongoing guidance, coaching, and feedback to frontline staff. Care Quality & Compliance Ensure that service users receive safe, person-centred care tailored to their needs and preferences. Carry out risk assessments, care plan reviews, and update documentation in line with best practice. Monitor medication administration, safeguarding, and incident reporting processes. Ensure all staff remain up to date with mandatory training including Safeguarding, MCA/DoLS, PMVA, Medication, Infection Control, First Aid, and Manual Handling. Support compliance with CQC regulations and contribute to quality audits and inspections. Operational Duties Assist in managing staff rotas to ensure safe staffing levels and continuity of care. Participate in team meetings, handovers, and service reviews. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records of staff and service user interactions. Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders. On-Call & Cover Duties Participate fully in the on-call rota , acting as first point of contact for staff and service users outside office hours. Respond promptly to emergencies, safeguarding concerns, or staffing issues. Cover shifts where necessary to maintain service delivery. Person Specification Essential: Previous experience in a care role (supported living, domiciliary care, or similar). Strong understanding of safeguarding, MCA/DoLS, and person-centred support. Up-to-date mandatory training or willingness to complete prior to or at the start of employment (including PMVA, Safeguarding, MCA, Medication Administration, First Aid, Infection Control, and Moving & Handling). Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to lead, supervise, and motivate a care team. A caring, professional, and compassionate approach. Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle. Desirable: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards). Experience supervising or mentoring staff. Knowledge of CQC KLOEs and supported living frameworks. Experience with electronic care planning/rostering systems. As part of your role, you are required to cover the on-call rota for 2 weeks out of every four (4) weeks. During on-call periods, you are expected to be available and responsive to service requirements.
