Job Description Estimator ConstructionManchester (covering projects across the North West)Competitive salary + car allowance + benefitsPermanent | Leading Main ContractorAre you an experienced Estimator looking to take the next step with a dynamic and well-established construction business? Were working in partnership with a reputable main contractor who deliver a diverse range of projects across the North West from commercial and education through to healthcare and residential developments.Due to sustained growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are now seeking either a Senior or Intermediate Estimator to join their commercial team in Manchester.The RoleAs an Estimator, youll play a key role in the pre-construction process preparing accurate cost plans, tenders, and value engineering options for a variety of projects. Working closely with the Pre-Construction Manager, Commercial Director, and wider delivery teams, youll ensure competitive and commercially viable bids are submitted.Key responsibilities:Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for design & build and traditional projectsReview drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess project requirementsLiaise with supply chain partners and subcontractors for pricing and quotationsWork collaboratively with the commercial and delivery teams to support bid strategy and handoverUndertake value engineering exercises and contribute to cost planning during early project stagesAbout YouWere keen to speak to Estimators at Intermediate or Senior level who have experience within the main contracting environment.You will ideally have:Proven experience as an Estimator within a building contractor (main contractor or large regional builder)A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricingExcellent analytical and communication skillsThe ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlinesA proactive and professional approach to client and stakeholder relationshipsThe OfferCompetitive base salary (DOE)Car or car allowancePension, healthcare, and bonus schemeOpportunities for progression within a growing commercial teamExposure to a wide range of high-quality North West projectsIf youre an Estimator looking for your next challenge whether stepping up to a Senior role or seeking a move to a business with genuine growth opportunities wed love to hear from you.
