Job Description Location: EdinburghContract Type: Full-time, PermanentProject: Major City Centre Fit-OutThe Opportunity A leading building contractor specialising in high-end city centre fit-outs is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major project in Edinburgh. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to manage all commercial aspects of a high-profile fit-out.Role Overview As Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for cost management, commercial reporting, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with the project and site teams to ensure the project is delivered on budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reportsValue works, manage variations, and maintain cost controlAdminister contracts, including interim valuations, payment applications, and final accountsLiaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial mattersIdentify cost-saving opportunities and manage riskSupport project teams with commercial advice and reportingRequirements:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the fit-out or high-end building sectorStrong knowledge of JCT and NEC contractsExcellent numerical, analytical, and communication skillsExperience in managing project budgets and commercial reportingAbility to work independently and as part of a project teamRelevant QS qualification (e.g., RICS or equivalent)Whats on Offer:Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to work on a prestigious city centre projectSupportive, professional team environmentCareer development opportunities within a specialist fit-out contractorJBRP1_UKTJ
