CDM Principal Designer | Construction | Leeds City Centre | Up to £60kI'm working with a well-established construction consultancy in Leeds who are looking for an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join their growing team.This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of projects, work with quality clients, and be part of a business that genuinely values its people.About the Role:As CDM Principal Designer, you'll be leading on design risk management across a variety of construction projects from concept through to completion. You'll be the go-to person for CDM compliance, working closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure health and safety is embedded from day one.Your day-to-day will include:Acting as Principal Designer under CDM 2015 Reviewing and advising on design risk assessments and method statementsAttending design team meetings and providing expert H&S inputPreparing pre-construction information and health and safety filesEnsuring designers discharge their duties and manage residual risksBuilding strong relationships with clients and consultantsWhat They're Looking For:Proven experience as a CDM Principal Designer (ideally 3+ years in the role)Strong technical knowledge of CDM 2015 regulationsBackground in construction – whether that's design, site management, or H&S consultancyExcellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levelsRelevant qualifications (NEBOSH Construction, Tech IOSH or similar)Someone who can work independently but thrives in a collaborative environmentWhat's on Offer:Salary up to £60,000 depending on experienceCareer progression and professional development opportunitiesSupportive team culture with experienced colleaguesVariety of projects across different sectors
