Job Description Amazing opportunity to join a international, leading law firm as a Commercial Property Residential Development Solicitor.Im working with one of the largest and most respected Residential Development teams in the UK, who are now looking to bring a new Lawyer on board in their Leeds or Newcastle office.This team has an outstanding reputation across the Living Sector, acting for a mix of PLC, regional and SME housebuilders, registered providers of affordable housing, land promoters, and PRS investors & developers on high-value residential and mixed-use development projects.The opportunityThe team is growing fast, with a strong client base and some impressive panel appointments already secured. As part of this group, youll be exposed to some of the best residential development work available from conditional contracts and transfers, to options, rights of pre-emption, collaboration agreements and development agreements. The focus here is on complex, high-value projects where your input will really matter.Youll get plenty of client contact from the outset, and this is a team that values people who can build relationships and play a part in business development. To be successful, youll need:A minimum of 3 years PQE as a Solicitor (England & Wales).Solid experience in residential development work, ideally gained with a large regional or city firm.Knowledge of the UK living sector, with expertise in housebuilding and/or strategic land (experience in build-to-rent and affordable housing is desirable but not essential).The ability to manage and grow client relationships.Most importantly, they want someone who genuinely enjoys this area of law and is excited about contributing to some of the UKs most high-profile residential development projects.
