Abingdon School is a leading independent day and boarding school with more than 1,000 pupils aged 11-18. Currently a boys' school, it will become co-educational from September 2026. Abingdon Prep School is a vibrant and warm day preparatory school with around 200 pupils aged 4-13 which has been co-educational since last year. Both Schools are situated in beautiful and extensive grounds, with the senior school in the heart of Abingdon on Thames, just south of Oxford, and the Prep School located a few miles away in nearby Frilford. Spin Instructor - The Role: We are looking for a candidate to deliver 1 - 2 spin lessons a week between 6am to 8am or 6pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday. Weekend classes may also be available (Saturday between 7am - 5pm and Sunday between 9am - 5pm). Working hours to be agreed with the Centre Manager. Spin Instructors are appointed on a self-employed basis with a competitive hourly rate. Spin Instructor - Key Responsibilities: - To teach spin classes at the ASE Spin Studio - To plan, organise, and lead participants through a spin class programme - To work to high professional standards and to provide exceptional customer service - To support Abingdon School Enterprises Ltd in achieving its aims and objectives, which are based on the principle of delivering high-quality sport and leisure activities Spin Instructor - You: - Previous experience of Spin exercise instruction is highly desirable - Level 2 Exercise to Music/Fitness Instructor qualification or recognised indoor cycling qualification (SPIN) - Positive outlook - Excellent people skills - Confident in delivering a group exercise class - Ability to plan and lead a safe, fun and effective class - As a self-employed member of staff, the post-holder is required to ensure that they have adequate professional indemnity insurance and supply evidence of this to the school Candidates must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of their self-employed contract without any additional approvals.
