Position: Lift Modernisation Project Manager Company: KLEEMANN UK GROUP Location: Ashford / Field-Based Department: Projects Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time Join KLEEMANN UK GROUP , a global leader in the lift and elevator industry, as we continue to deliver excellence in vertical transportation. We are seeking an experienced Lift Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of lift installation, modernisation, and refurbishment projects across the UK. Scope of the Role As a Lift Modernisation Project Manager , you will manage projects from order to final handover ensuring every stage is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards . You will collaborate closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Planning Plan, manage, and deliver lift installation and modernisation projects from inception to completion. Prepare detailed project programmes, RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), and Health & Safety documentation. Coordinate design, procurement, and site activities to ensure timely resource allocation. Financial & Operational Control Oversee financial performance, including budgets, variations, cost tracking, and forecasting. Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring compliance with company and client requirements. Maintain detailed records and project documentation throughout each phase. Client & Team Coordination Serve as the key point of contact for clients, main contractors, and internal stakeholders. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards. Manage testing, commissioning, and handover processes, ensuring completion of all O&M documentation. Health & Safety Leadership Promote a strong Health & Safety culture across all sites. Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation and standards (LOLER, PUWER, BS EN81, Building Regulations). Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Lift Project Manager or in a similar role within the lift or vertical transportation industry. In-depth knowledge of lift installation and modernisation processes. Strong understanding of Health & Safety and industry regulations. Excellent financial, organisational, and communication skills. Experienced in managing subcontractors and multi-site operations. Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and other project management tools. Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM) desirable. Full UK driving licence required. Key Attributes Highly organised and detail-oriented. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Commercially astute with a proactive, problem-solving approach. Committed to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
