IT Support / IT Operations Specialist – Manufacturing Environment (Rochdale)Location: Rochdale, Manchester (Onsite)Contract: 6 Months (Extension Highly Likely)Start Date: ASAPRate: Open & Negotiable (Outside IR35)Working Hours: Saturday–Monday, 06:00–18:00 + On-Call 18:00–23:00 (Sat & Sun)Are you an experienced IT Support or Operations Specialist looking for a new contract opportunity?We’re supporting one of our clients in the manufacturing sector with the recruitment of an on-site IT Support / IT Operations Specialist to join their new production facility in Rochdale.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working close to production, combining hands-on IT support with factory systems such as MES, WMS, ERP, and automation technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on IT support across both production and office environmentsSupport and troubleshoot MES, WMS (WAMAS, Lighthouse), and ERP systemsMonitor and maintain factory IT infrastructure and networks (Cisco wired & Wi-Fi)Perform SQL-based troubleshooting and assist with system integrationsDocument incidents, resolutions, and updates using the ITSM systemCollaborate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and automation specialistsIdeal ProfileProven experience in IT Support or IT Operations, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong knowledge of Windows, Office 365, SQL, and networking (Cisco)Hands-on experience with MES/WMS/ERP systems is highly desirableFlexible, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a production setting
