Location: Poole, Dorset Salary: 13.00 - 14.50 per hour 50 sleep-in allowance Hours: 38.5 hours per week on a 2 days on / 4 days off shift pattern About the Role: We are seeking compassionate Therapeutic Parents to provide nurturing, trauma-informed care for children aged 4-11 in our small, family-style residential home. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting childrens emotional, social, and developmental needs through personalised care plans. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality therapeutic care in a safe, structured home environment. Build trusting relationships with children using attachment-informed approaches (PACE model). Support children with daily routines, education, hobbies, and enrichment activities. Work with social workers, therapists, and teachers to implement care plans. Maintain accurate records, risk assessments, and care documentation. Participate in reflective practice and ongoing professional development. Administer medication, maintain home budgeting, and ensure safety at all times. About You: Experience working with children, ideally with social, emotional, or mental health needs. Committed to trauma-informed, child-centred care. Resilient, calm under pressure, and a strong team player. Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. Over 21 years old with a valid driving licence. Desirable: Qualifications in residential childcare. Experience with therapeutic models (DDP, PACE). Knowledge of SEMH, attachment, autism, or ADHD.
