Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Lead General Practitioner to support a GP Surgery , just outside of Leeds for a minimum of 3 months. This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced GP to further develop their scope of practice, within an established organisation. Location: Castleford, Leeds Contract: Locum - 3 month contract Start Date: December (date TBC) Pay: 100 LTD p/h - paid weekly About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic Lead GP to support our Clients GP Practice on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for a confident and proactive General Practitioner with experience in clinical leadership and practice support. You will work closely with the practice team to ensure high-quality patient care, effective clinical governance and continuity across services during this period. Key Responsibilities Provide senior clinical leadership and guidance to the multidisciplinary team Deliver high-quality primary care to the practice population Manage clinical workloads including telephone, face-to-face and urgent care appointments Provide supervision, support, and mentorship to clinical staff where required Support day-to-day operational functions and decision-making within the practice Oversee clinical governance and ensure adherence to practice and NHS policies Participate in MDT meetings, clinical audits and practice improvement activities Ensure safe and effective prescribing practices Maintain accurate and timely patient records (EMIS/S1 experience beneficial) Requirements GMC-registered General Practitioner Experience in a Lead GP / Clinical Lead / Senior GP capacity Proven ability to manage and support clinical teams Strong decision-making and leadership skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a primary care setting Availability to commit to the full contract period (December start, up to 3 months) Ability to commute to Castleford To enquire, please email Eleanor on [email protected] or call 01772 20896355b20050-bc17-4e5d-bfce-3c406318dffc
