SRE Manager, AWS, Coaching, Application, Support, European, Tech Lead, A Leading provider of financial solutions is seeking a talented SRE ManagerThis would suit someone coming from a tech lead position who currently manages a small SRE function. The role:Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing SRE team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of systems to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.Develop and implement strategies for incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews to prevent future incidents.Work closely with business and technology teams to understand their needs and ensure alignment with reliability and uptime goals. Facilitate communication and collaboration across global teams.Drive the development and adoption of automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.Establish and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems. Use data-driven insights to proactively identify and address potential issues.Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices in SRE.The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below. Qualifications:Proven experience in a leadership role with production support and/or software delivery responsibilityProficiency in cloud concepts, preferably AWS.Excellent communication skills, especially under pressure, and across various stakeholder types, from engineers to executives Ability to foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, independent thinking and collaborationStrong focus on quality, automation, and client experienceExcellent troubleshooting mindsetNice to have: AWS certification(s) preferred, but not strictly required.Software engineering experience is helpful, but not requiredThis opening does require you to go into the office three days per week.
