What we can offer you;20 days of annual leave increasing by one day per year after 2 years service to a maximum of 25 days Access to our people''s pension schemeFree physiotherapy service Discounts on everything from groceries to well known retailersAccess to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need toOngoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential What you will do:You will be working alongside other technicians to repair and maintain a fleet of HGVs and trailers, working out of the vehicle maintenance workshop.We are excited to announce that our new workshop facility will be constructed in 2026, featuring a professional service pit that will significantly improve our maintenance capabilities and service quality.Duties:Currently our trailer inspections and repairs are conducted at ground level - this will be changed with our new upcoming workshop pit.Carry out PPM and/or fault finding on HGV/LGV units and trailersMoffat inspections and repairsHydraulic works on multiple types of units / trailersElectrical works on multiple types of units / trailersWork on bespoke "blower" trailers (including blowing equipment)Fault-finding and brake testing/braking systemsPre LOLER inspections to fleet, where applicableSome aspects of welding and fabricatingAttend off-site breakdownsWhat are we looking for?Essential:Either an NVQ Level 3 in HGV Motor Mechanics or 4 years experience as a minimum Good awareness of safe working practices / Health & SafetyDesirable:IRTEK qualification HGV licence Autoelectric qualificationHydraulic qualification or experience What''s next?Apply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.We''re proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
