Passionate about people, you will enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life and career too, as you gain the experience and training you need to progress with us.nWhere will I be working?nWe offer 24 hour supported living facilities in providing care for adults with Learning Disabilities.nWe support people with complex Learning Disabilities, Autism, Health needs and Physical disabilities. Some of our service users are non verbal and others require higher levels of personal care and manual handling/hoisting. This is a very hands on role.nWe endeavour to create positive family relationships offering a good circle of support. There is a strong focus on supporting individuals'' lives in a person centred way which includes various activities, shopping, managing own budgets and cooking. We tailor our services to enable people to be as independent as possible.nPlease note that you must be a driver to be considered for this role.nShift PatternsnThis is a 24 hour service, therefore flexibility is essential. You will be working a range of shifts from 7:00/8:00 am to 2:00/3:00 pm and 2:00/3:00 pm to 9:00/10:00 pm, sleep ins or waking nights, some weekends.nPlease note that working hours may vary from service to service.n n n n Role Responsibilityn What will I be doing?nThis is a hands-on job in which no two days are the same. Your duties will include:nnPromoting the independence of people we supportnSupporting a full range of daily activities including personal intimate care, support with eating and drinking and involvement in the day to day activities in the home.nPEG feeding/flushingnFollowing Health Professionals guidance and protocols around eating and drinking, behaviour and mobility.nSupporting individuals to stay safe using positive risk assessments.nManual handling & HoistingnSupporting people with medication including creams and lotionsnEnsuring record keeping is maintained to the required standard at all times and contributing to service monitoring requirements using a digital recording system.nn n n n The Ideal Candidaten What skills and qualities do I need to have?nWhilst knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs would be beneficial, it isn''t essential.
