We are recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of technologically advanced plant hire machinery serving the construction, rail, major project, and energy industries. They are committed to safety, sustainability, and integrity, and invest heavily in developing their people, offering on-the-job training and career progression opportunitiWe are looking for an experienced Workshop Fitter to join a friendly and skilled engineering team in Stratford-upon-Avon. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of plant machinery and attachments, delivering first-class service while developing your technical skills. Job Overview Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on plant machinery and attachments. Fault find on electrical and hydraulic equipment. Inspect equipment leaving or returning to the depot. Prepare, test, and install plant attachments. Carry out servicing works in line with manufacturer standards. Maintain workshop and depot areas to a high standard of housekeeping. Job Requirements Experience of working on heavy plant Strong organisational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Solid knowledge of plant and construction equipment. Welding skills. Commutable distance of Stratford-upon-Avon. Salary & Benefits 13-15 per hour, dependent on experience. Overtime after 42.5 hours x1.5, double time after 4 hours on Saturday and straight away on sundays 5-hour week (8:00am-4:30pm). Enhanced entitlement increasing with length of service.
