Job Description ROLE- Technical Design Engineer LOCATION- Blackburn TERM- Permanent SALARY- 30,000 - 40,000, dependent on experience My client is a manufacturer of bespoke products. They are looking for a Technical Design Engineer to join their team in Blackburn on a permanent basis. The Technical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering or similarExperience with large scale assembly work At least 2-5 years experience in a similar Design positionPrevious experience designing bespoke/precision products and mechanics, in professional or educational setting or in your spare timeBe proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor etc.Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles, tight tolerances and machineryExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenExcellent organisational skills and time management skillsHave the ability to work independently as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team The Technical Design Engineer role will involve:Using SolidWorks on a daily basis for concept design and producing technical drawingsDeveloping ideas from concept to productionCreating models/prototypesLiaising with clients and developing solutionsLiaising with manufacturing providerscompleting large scale assembly work Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMsCollaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projectsMaintaining technical drawings and documentationSupporting product Testing, Verification & ValidationIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.For more information about this role please apply, or email Toby Illingworth on [email protected] who will be able to provide more details on the opportunity.Many thanks, Premier Group
